Logging In

Students will log in at UKASH. Use your KU online ID and password.

You must first be accepted to the University of Kansas before attempting to login to the UKASH system. Upon acceptance, it takes a few business days for the system to update information.

If you enter the wrong password and fail 10 times within an hour, you may be locked out for about 10 minutes. If that happens, try to log into other sites using your campus login. If that is not working, the password needs to be reset with KU's IT team. Once the campus login has been figured out, you will be able to log into UKASH with the same login. If your password is working on other campus sites, open a brand new tab and try to sign in again. If this does not work, please contact us at ukash@ku.edu.

Make sure you have been updating your password for your KU online account according KU IT guidelines.

The General Application must be completed by all students before they will have the opportunity to apply for all other scholarships.

You must double-check that the title of your file does not contain any commas or special characters. UKASH is unable to open/read files containing commas or special characters in the title.

Save and Keep Editing: saves a copy of your application so you can work on your application later.

Finish and Continue: You may select this button once you have completed all required questions on the application. You'll be able to make changes to your application, even though your General Application will be marked "complete." By completing your General Application and pressing Finish and Continue, you'll be able to see your list of Recommended Opportunities.

All Opportunities: Shows a list of all KU scholarship offerings that exist regardless of eligibility.

Recommended Opportunities: Shows all opportunities that UKASH has determined you are eligible for.

In the upper right-hand corner, click on Applications. There is a Status box at the top of this page where you can see the status of all applications. You will then see all your applications, and whether you have completed all the required questions.

Just click on Preview or Edit, and the “Help” box will go away.

The symbols are just a way for the system to understand what you are indicating as bold or italic text.

In order to see how these answers may look to a reviewer, click on Preview and the symbols should disappear, making your text bold or italic, according to your preferences.

Eligibility & Impact

Financial aid cannot exceed a student’s cost of attendance. If a new scholarship is reported, the student's entire financial aid package will be reviewed by a member of our staff. If there are any changes to your financial aid package, we will email you to review your updated financial aid package.

For example, if you receive a scholarship later in the year, consequentially your student loans could be decreased in amount.

We’re proud to offer students a wide range of renewable institutional merit scholarships based on GPA alone. Find more information at the KU Admissions website.
